Relationship between insulation temperature and service life of high frequency transformers
Under normal circumstances, the normal service life of high frequency transformer is 20~30 years, but due to improper use, individual transformers can not adjust the load correctly, can not reach the normal service life, causing unnecessary economic losses. Therefore, in the process of use, attention should be paid to the factors that may cause harm to the service life of the high-frequency transformer.
Most of them use oiled paper insulation, that is, class a insulation. For a Class A insulated transformer, in normal operation, when the ambient air temperature is 40℃, the limit operating temperature of the transformer winding is 105℃.
If the working temperature of the transformer exceeds the allowable value for a long time, the insulation of the transformer will be easily damaged. Due to long-term heating aging of insulation, the higher the insulation temperature of high-frequency transformer, the faster the insulation aging. When the insulation aging to a certain extent, the insulation will be broken under the action of running vibration and power, prone to electrical breakdown fault, reduce the service life of the transformer.
According to relevant data and practice,
1. The service life of the transformer is 2 years when the insulation working temperature is 120℃.
2. The working temperature of the transformer insulation is 105℃, and the service life is 7 years.
3. The service life of the transformer is 20 years when the insulation working temperature is 95℃.
4. Correctly adjust the transformer load, so that the transformer to achieve the ideal service life.
Under the premise that the voltage is basically fixed, the insulation temperature inside the high-frequency transformer is mainly related to the load current size, that is, the load current is large, the insulation temperature is high, whereas the load current is small, the insulation temperature is low. When the high frequency transformer runs under overload or with rated load in summer, the internal insulation runs at high temperature, which will accelerate the service life loss of the transformer.
If the transformer is operated at light load or with rated load in winter, its internal insulation is operated at low temperature, which can slow down the service life loss of the transformer. Therefore, in order to make full use of the load capacity of the transformer, does not affect the normal service life of the transformer, the monthly load can be properly adjusted.
